ON-SITE TESTING FAQ

Will you be testing for all shows moving forward?

No, we are not planning to implement this for all shows moving forward. We will, however, to continue to monitor case counts in the area and make a decision on a show-by-show casis. Thalia Hall’s requirements of proof of vaccination and stringent mask requirements have kept attendees, musicians, and staff safe to this point. However, this added layer of protection feels prudent given the current conditions.

What time should I arrive?

Testing will take place on-site starting at 5:00 PM. If you are PRE-REGISTERED testing will move quickly and results will be sent to you within 10-15 minutes. Once you have a negative test result in-hand, you’ll be given a wristband and can proceed around the corner to Thalia Hall’s box office area where we’ll check your tickets. You can get your wristband at 5PM and return closer to the show—just be sure to keep your wristband handy.

To accommodate this added precaution, doors will open at 6:00PM — one hour earlier than originally scheduled. The show start time remains 8:00PM.

Who is handling the testing?

Testing is being conducted by the professional medical staff of Northshore Clinical Labs. This company specializes in these mobile testing events and we have worked with them successfully before. Please pre-register HERE to streamline the testing process.

Is there a cost for testing and what type of test is it?

There is no cost to you for the testing. You can choose to provide insurance information or not, there is never any cost to you. A rapid antigen test will be conducted on-site to validate entry.

What do I do if I receive a positive test result?

Please proceed home immediately and follow published isolation protocol. Email your positive test result to info@thaliahallchicago.com to request a refund.

I was tested earlier this week or conducted an at-home test before I left, will that work for admission?

We cannot accept at-home rapid test results or PCR tests from more than 24 hours before entry.

Will Thalia Hall have access to my medical information?

At no time will Thalia Hall receive any of your medical information; we will simply be checking a negative test result which you present to us on your phone.

Will the performers and Thalia Hall staff be tested nightly as well?

Yes.
