Pilsen Food Truck Social
Rolling into our Pilsen neighborhood the weekend of June 6 & 7 is the Pilsen Food Truck Social and we are looking forward to being a part of the festivities! As its eponymous name suggests, food trucks are the centerpiece of this new neighborhood street fest but music will also play a large part! Along with our friends at Empty Bottle we will be programming a live music stage that is sure to impress. Keep an eye out for the line-up announcements soon!
Up to 25 Illinois Food Truck Owner Association affiliated food trucks will congregate on 18th Street between Throop and Racine, offering mobile delicacies and treats, everything from tamales to Kobe beef, mac n' cheese to cupcakes. A $20 Sampler Ticket will allow consumers to stroll around and try sample-sized portions from any food truck onsite, and also sample sponsored wine or spirits. All food and beverages will also be available for regular individual cash purchase. A percentage of proceeds from the event benefits the Illinois Food Truck Owners Association and the St. Procopius Catholic Church soup kitchen and food bank. A partnership with Revolution Brewing, Chicago's hometown craft brewery, will also give patrons a well-rounded variety of ice-cold Revolution beer, including a new Ale being produced especially for Pilsen Food Truck Social!
